The Klingons in Star Trek Discovery look different from previous iterations due to a creative decision made by the show's producers to give them a more alien and distinct appearance. This change was intended to provide a fresh take on the iconic species and to reflect advancements in makeup and prosthetic technology. Additionally, the altered appearance of the Klingons helps to emphasize their warrior culture and further differentiate them from other species in the Star Trek universe. **

I would choose Michael Burnham, the main character of Star Trek Discovery. She is a strong, intelligent, and determined leader who has faced numerous challenges and obstacles throughout the series. Her ability to think outside the box and her unwavering dedication to her crew make her an invaluable member of the team. Plus, her complex backstory and personal journey add depth to her character, making her a compelling choice for a crew member. **
